This policy describes how personal data is handled when using Play!t, a Microsoft Word add-in published by Reveal!t. It concerns the add-in itself and is separate from the terms of use.

In short

Play!t collects no personal data. Your document content never leaves your computer. No account is required, no profile is built, and no data is sold or shared for commercial purposes. This processing complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU Regulation 2016/679).

Data collected by the add-in

Play!t sends no data to our servers. We collect neither your name, nor your email address, nor your IP address, nor any identifying information while you use the add-in. No analytics tool or advertising tracker is embedded in it.

Data stored on your device

Play!t stores two kinds of information, which stay on your machine or inside your document:

• Your preferences (language, theme, display settings) in your browser's or Office's local storage. Only you can read them, and they disappear if you clear that storage.
• Information about inserted videos (video address, display format, thumbnail) inside the Word file itself, in a technical area of the document. It travels with your file if you share it, and that is entirely your decision.

Third-party services — video players

Play!t lets you insert videos hosted by third-party platforms: YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Loom and TED. When a video plays, your browser contacts that platform directly, and it may set its own cookies and collect data under its own rules. We take no part in those exchanges and have no access to them.

The applicable privacy policies are those of each platform, available on their respective websites.

Website contact form

If you write to us through this website's contact form, we keep your name, email address and message for the sole purpose of replying to you. This information is never resold or used for marketing. It is deleted once it is no longer needed to handle your request.

Your rights (GDPR)

Legal basis and retention. The only data processed is what you voluntarily send us through the contact form. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time. This data is kept for twelve months at most after your request is closed, then deleted. No transfer outside the European Union takes place: the data is hosted in France (o2switch).

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of data concerning you. These rights can be exercised by email at the address below. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the add-in or to applicable regulations. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page.
